The Cheer for Children Ball is an event featuring culinary delights created by the American Culinary Federation (ACF) Greater Atlanta Chefs Association. Featured chefs will prepare and serve their dishes on-site, creating a unique evening of delicious food paired with a special selection of wine for guests to enjoy.

The sampling and sipping is enjoyed amidst live musical entertainment and a silent and live auction, which always capture the attention and enthusiasm of the guests.

The affair kicks off the holiday season and is the ideal event for anyone who wants to enjoy an entertaining evening while making a great investment in the community.

The Cheer for Children Ball will be held on Friday, November 14, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at the Atlanta History Center in Buckhead. Individual tickets are $150. Black Tie optional.

The Cheer for Children Ball Patron Party will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2008 at Ginny and Guy Millner's home on Tuxedo Road. Tickets to the Patron Party are $750. This includes both two tickets for the Patron Party and two tickets for the Cheer for Children Ball. This event is always a sellout and tickets are limited, so be sure to make your purchase soon.

Each year, more than 30,000 substantiated cases of child abuse and neglect are reported in Georgia. The Georgia Center for Child Advocacy is committed to facilitating the healing process for children and families in DeKalb and Fulton counties who have experienced child sexual abuse.

Since 1987, the Georgia Center for Child Advocacy has offered a safe haven for abused children, provided long-term psychological treatment to victims and their families, and assisted in the investigation of abuse cases. As a 2008 Cheer for Children guest, you are supporting the continued care of children who have no other place to turn.
